Ice Baths

Ice baths and cold water immersion are rapidly growing in popularity as the quickest and easiest way to sooth post workout pains. Cold water immersion and ice bathing are forms of cryotherapy. The idea is to immerse the body in water with a temperature between 10-15ºC for between 10-15mins.

The benefits are believed to be:

  • Faster physical recovery times
  • Reduction of inflammation
  • Improvement of immunological response

The Wim Hoff method involves concepts developed by the Dutch extreme athlete and Guinness World Record holder Wim Hoff, also known as the Ice Man. Our Hastings Stock Tanks are perfect for use as ice baths. For someone 6ft (1.8m) tall we think a 5ft oval tank is ideal. If you are slightly shorter or want to limit the amount of ice and water then a 4ft oval tank would be most suitable.
